Chelsea Photos began on Kings Road in 1990. Thirty-six years later, the business has moved to new premises on Pavilion Road, but photography and printing remain at the heart of what it does.

Over the years, the business has changed with the industry. Film processing has been joined by digital photography, large-format printing, photo gifts, bespoke framing and design services. The aim, however, remains fairly simple: to help people print, display and preserve their photographs and memories.

For businesses and organisations, the shop provides document printing and design services, as well as flyers, menus, invitations and other printed materials. The team can handle the design, printing and finishing of a project in-house.

The shop also continues to sell cameras, film, photographic accessories and other products from brands including Kodak and Fujifilm.

After 36 years, much has changed in photography. The way we take pictures, store them and share them is very different from 1990. But there is still something satisfying about having a photograph in your hands rather than simply having it on a phone.
