On 8 July from 7pm, this interactive and hands on class will include preparation and cooking demonstrations as Leo creates different dishes using these fantastic shellfish.

La Mia Mamma – New Italian to Open

Keep your eyes peeled for the new Italian set to open on the King’s Road on 15 June – La Mia Mamma.

The new spot in Chelsea has a new style where they are introducing a rotating residency of different Italian chefs; the ‘Mammas’! Each chef will focus on a different Italian region so get set for different dishes and flavours every three months when a new region is in focus and a new chef in place.

Kicking off is Lidia Romeo from Sicily. Expect a menu of arancini, pasta all roma and more Sicilian cuisine and delicious cocktails from the region. She will be the main ‘meeter-and-greeter’ of the restaurant so it will give the feel of eating at home with her. Each day, the pasta will be homemade in the restaurant window so you will really be able to feel the love that goes into it.

Not only that, there will be a delicious traditional A La Carte menu offering food from all over Italy.

Opening at 257 King’s Road very soon, during their opening week (15-22 June), diners will be able to pay whatever they want – a temptation too good to miss!

Michelin starred chef, Peter Joseph, to open first solo project in Chelsea

Peter Joseph has left his role after ten years as Head Chef at Tamarind, one of London’s best Indian restaurants to launch his first solo project in the heart of Chelsea.

This summer, ‘Kahani’ will open opposite Cadogan Hall with an interior inspired by Hindu storytelling and philosophy and dishes using season British ingredients.

Kahani means ‘story’ in Urdu and the inspiration comes from his upbringing where eating was a community celebration. Peter Joseph introduces the finger food concept to his restaurant and diners are encouraged to eat with their fingers in the first few courses. He has taken an inventive and modern approach and combined it with philosophies of seasonality and sustainability to create an exciting and dynamic menu, containing delicious vegan dishes.

Small dishes include fusion plates such as Golden Beets Tiki, Masala Grilled Avocado and Tandoori Calamari then guests can enjoy a selection of skewers from the grill including blue crab, wild venison boti, rabbit kebabs and lemony langoustines. The desert menu has abandoned tradition and includes a ‘chilli chocolate mousse bomb’ and melt in the middle cheesecakes; a fondant twist on the classic desert, with flavours such as raspberry, rose, pistachio, mango, passion fruit and blueberry.

Describing their food as ‘fiercely kind’, Wulf and Lamb is Pavilion Road’s newest addition and a must-visit. This restaurant is sure to be filled with foodies and their friends as the 100% vegan menu is abundant with delicious quality comfort and on-the-go treats for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Highlights include the Chili ‘non’ Carne and the Coronation Cauliflower Wrap.

Having been open since the start of October, queues still form from midday for the lunchtime rush. Bookings aren’t possible, so make sure you get in the queue early!
