Phillip Howard’s reputation for his cooking has been foraged through the delivery of pleasure through harmony of flavour rather than technical wizardry or innovation.
There are extensive menus for lunch and dinner, as well as a fantastic Sunday lunch offering. Favourites include a squid ink ravioli with Orkney scallops and red mullet with fennel, orange, chilli and garlic and a rump of Herdwick lamb with Berkswell and nettle gnocchi, glazed lettuce and vinaigrette of spring vegetables.
