Celebrate Chinese New Year in Chelsea with Peppa Pig

On Saturday 9 February, head to Duke of York Square to celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Pig with a fantastic Chinese edition of the Fine Food Market and a special appearance from Peppa Pig.

The Market will be open from 10am-4pm with a selection of exclusive market stalls including:

Dumplings from The Ugly Dumplings

Baozi and Chow Mein from Bite Mi

Banh Khot (dragon eggs mini cakes) and spring rolls from Rao Deli

Nonya Sauces

Dak Gang Jung & man du (chicken and dumplings) from Goko

Noodles and fortune cookies from Suria + Co

Chinese inspired cakes from Nick Fu

Peppa Pig’s Chinese New Year in Celebration in Chelsea, from 11am until 4pm at the Square, will bring fun for all the family. Start with an arts & crafts session where children can make their own red envelope, greeting banner and headdresses. There will be Peppa Pig storytelling sessions and your chance to meet Peppa Pig himself as well as our traditional lion dancers.

Chelsea Chinese New Year Market

Did you know that February sees the beginning of Chinese New Year – and 2018 is the Year of the Dog, an animal that symbolises luck.

To celebrate, Duke of York Square will be hosting a special Chinese food market on 17 February with a delicious array of Chinese delicacies and traditional entertainment – including a Lion Dance at lunchtime and Lantern Quiz running throughout the day.

If you are a dog-lover, Pet Pavilion will be on hand with a ‘Best Dressed Dog’ competition, along with treats such as Pawsecco, Puppycinos and express treatments.

The Duke of York Square Saturday Fine Food Market will be open for business as usual between 10am and 4pm, will all weekly vendors along with a selection of authentic Chinese stall-holders. Entry is complimentary.
