"I’ve been lucky enough to be invited to some fabulous summer parties at the Chelsea Physic Garden – they never fail to be great fun!"
Which 3 words would you use to describe Chelsea?
It’s traditional, yet hip and fun.
What is your earliest local memory?
Coming to Chelsea with my parents as a child and popping into Peter Jones. There used to be a butcher opposite that gave the area a lovely, country-like feel.
Anya Hindmarch and Emma Hope for fashion and John Sandoe (on Blacklands Terrace) for books – they have an unrivalled knowledge and always manage to find me the perfect read.
Best place to relax?
The gardens of Royal Hospital Chelsea, wandering through the Saatchi Gallery or jogging through the streets on a quiet early morning.
Best place to have fun?
I’ve been lucky enough to be invited to some fabulous summer parties at the Chelsea Physic Garden – they never fail to be great fun!
Hunan on Pimlico Road – they are true artists in the kitchen. I highly recommend their green beans cooked in garlic.
I’m really not a ‘pub person’!
Is there a local hero you’d like to mention?!
Norman Waidhofer at Andrews Pharmacy on Sloane Street is a true hero – he keeps me and my team fit and healthy all year round.
Any local secrets/gems?
There is a beautiful, purple, scented tree on the corner of Sloane Terrace and Cheltenham Terrace – I’ve never been able to identify it but it often brightens up my morning runs.
The local ‘thing’ that makes you smile?!
Our wonderful postman Eric puts a smile on our face every day – he is always so patient and friendly, which we are so grateful for at busy times.
