From 28 June – 20 October, explore the changing roles of women in the British Army thorough the lens of the Royal Army Corps (WRAC) in the latest exhibition at the National Army Museum, Rise of the Lionesses. Celebrate the 70th anniversary of the WRAC and 100 years of the WRAC Association this summer in this thought provoking exhibition.

Examine the relationship between society and the army, how the perception of ‘appropriate’ feminine roles affected the contributions of female soldiers and how these women fought to redefine these roles.

From the vehicle chassis uses to train Princess Elizabeth which she was serving with the ATS to the medical kits of Chantelle Taylor, the first woman to kill in enemy combat, immerse yourself in this journey of courage, sacrifice and finally integration.

Entry is complimentary and booking is not required.
